NAMA discusses roles and responsibilities in women’s lives

Noura Mohammed Al Ali, Head of Programmes at NAMA Women Advancement, explained that the organisation held a panel discussion on Wednesday titled “The Multiplicity of Roles in Women’s Lives” as part of the NAMA Dialogues series, coinciding with Emirati Women’s Day.

Noura Mohammed Al Ali stated that the panel discussion aimed to shed light on the realities of women today, given their multiple roles and professional, personal, and social responsibilities. The session featured a distinguished panel of leaders and professionals, including Asma Al Nazari, Acting Director of Governance and Reporting at Emirates Global Aluminium; Engineer Fatima Al Banna, Senior Director of Sustainability Projects at Bee’ah Group; Engineer Wafaa Salem Balaswad, Director of Free Zone Operations at Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park; and Mona Al Badawi, Director of Talent Acquisition and Development at Sharjah Asset Management Company.

Multiple roles are source of strength, skill development, and enhanced capabilities

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah24, Al Ali explained that the session focused on viewing multiple roles not only as a challenge but also as a source of strength, skill development, and enhanced capabilities. It also emphasised redefining the concepts of balance and success, moving away from the pursuit of perfection in every role.

Al Ali added that the panel discussion emphasised the importance of a supportive environment for women and the role of family, workplaces, and society in empowering them to manage their priorities and continue pursuing their aspirations. She noted that NAMA Women Advancement aims, through these dialogues, to address women’s realities and needs and to create a space for exchanging experiences.
