ABOUT

On 9 March 2023, NAMA organized an interactive session under the title "Multi-stakeholder dialogue for enabling gender-inclusive workplaces." The session brought together a diverse group of business leaders, academic experts, public sector representatives, and other stakeholders to explore the status of women in the private sector and identify challenges and opportunities for driving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.


Gender equality has a significant impact on the economic and social development of our country. We, therefore, believe that all stakeholders must work together to create gender-inclusive workplaces that benefit everyone. During the session, participants had the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions and share insights and recommendations for promoting women's inclusion and advancement in the UAE. The insights gained from this workshop are intended to inform a research project aimed at providing actionable data and knowledge for companies to drive gender equality in their workplaces.


Following this session, we announced Irtiqa's Ambassadors, including Pepsico and PwC, which are supporting ongoing efforts to promote gender-inclusive practices in the private sector. As Irtiqa Ambassadors, private sector companies will work together with NAMA to generate and disseminate knowledge on recent trends and prospects concerning closing the gender gap in employment, as well as create networking opportunities for business leaders to exchange practical experiences for women's inclusion in the private sector
