This workshop focused on the role of businesses in driving sustainable action toward promoting gender equality in society at large.
The workshop encouraged businesses to take a holistic approach to gender equality by promoting women's empowerment through CSR initiatives, thereby supporting not only women within the organization but also the community. Accordingly, the discussion touched on the steps that companies can take to create innovative programmes, partnerships, and initiatives to support women's empowerment, investigate gaps in current CSR initiatives, and identify opportunities for further actions on the CSR front.
The workshop also dedicated a segment for representatives from Accenture and PwC to share some of their CSR initiatives that seek to advance women's empowerment and how they can make an impact in society as a result of this work.
