100 STRONG MIDDLE EAST WOMEN’S WEBINAR SERIES

An exclusive Middle East Women’s Network Webinar Series’ alongwith UK-based Save the Children was held to tackle issues facing women and girls amidst the global pandemic.

Online Session Thursday, October 01, 2020

About

Founded by women for women, 100 Strong is a global network of women who share a passion for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.Launched by UK-based Save the Children in 2019, 100 Strong seeks to leverage women’s influence – their voices, talents, networks, and resources – to make a large-scale transformative impact in the lives of marginalised women and girls.

The Middle East Women’s Network webinar series is a collaboration with Save the Children. As the coronavirus pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on women and girls globally, the Women’s Network series aims to bring empowered women in the Middle East together to address the loss of livelihoods and serve as catalysts for gender-responsive social protection programmes.

Aim

  • The mission of the Women’s Network is to create a networking hub that connects women from all walks of life to share experiences, resources, and skills to empower women and girls globally.

  • Accomplished and inspirational Arab women leaders across sectors will join the global network of female changemakers through the Middle East chapter.

  • Each webinar within the series will discuss a thematic area impacting women and girls globally and will end with an opportunity to pledge to work on a specific aspect of the programming.

  • The main aim is to create concrete deliverables for each webinar to facilitate collaborations and achieve real impact. The deliverables could include developing and fundraising for programmes focused on women and girls.
