Two affiliates fall under the umbrella of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment – Sharjah Business Women Council and Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council.
Since its inception in 2002, Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) has dedicated its efforts to driving the full integration of businesswomen in the economy and promoting a culture of sustainable female entrepreneurship in the Emirate of Sharjah – UAE.
The Council’s holistic approach to supporting female-owned and led businesses include assisting businesswomen in the process of setting up their businesses in Sharjah, forging partnerships with government and private organizations in the UAE and abroad, and offering various exposure opportunities to engage potential and established businesswomen in Sharjah.

The Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council aims to empower women socially and economically through the revival and modernization of traditional crafts, in addition to creating a sustainable future for these crafts and the artisans practicing them, through international commercial collaborations.
The Council provides a fresh narrative for women artisans across the Middle East, North Africa, South East and Central Asia regions by developing their technical and vocational skills through social development and regional skills exchange programmes.
Additionally, the Council seeks to preserve traditional Emirati crafts, and develop the next generation of artisans and designers by engaging the youth and providing them with training and mentorship.
