NAMA is a public non-profit organisation chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah with the vision to move beyond the stage of integration to that of advancement.
NAMA aims at establishing societies that believe in women, and value them as a precious human capital through economic empowerment. This will see the Emirate Sharjah (UAE) emerge as a leading destination contributing to a world of integrated roles for women and men alike.

Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC)
SBWC started its journey in 2002 with the aim to contribute to the economic and social development of Sharjah and drive their integration into the global economy to tap into the field of entrepreneurship and nurturing the next generation of leadership to maximise the economic output of the nation.
The NAMA Fund, the latest and very promising one of NAMA’s initiatives, is a collective effort of NAMA and its local and international partners to mobilise financial and human resources required to elevate the status of women and to guarantee their economic security and worldwide success.
Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council
Representing both traditional and modern crafts across the MENASA region, working with partner organisations and championing artisans and designers. With Bidwa, an initiative of Irthi established in 2014, NAMA capitalises on the traditional handcraft of the Emirates, which revives and sustains the country’s important heritage cottage industries and engages with younger generations by modernising and elevating the crafts ‘Talli’, ‘Sadu’ and ‘Safeefah’ through establishing new markets.
